Eighth Superload Out of About Two Dozen Continues Through Scioto Valley

Superload 8 is now on its way. It was parked overnight on Fairgrouds Road in northern Ross County, and will be parked at Rickenbacker in southern Franklin County for tonight – with its final destination in the Intel complex under construction near New Albany.

The superloads seem to have become ordinary now. This one was another large box, not quite as intriguing as the earlier giant bumpy tubes that were hauled to a plastics recycling plant under construction in Hebron, near Newark.

About two dozen superloads are planned to move from a dock near Manchester on the Ohio River to central Ohio in April and May.

Matt Bruning, press secretary of the Ohio Department of Transportation, keeps track of the superloads with ODOT’s tower cam and drone photos of them en route in his News Facebook page.
