This week Ross and Pickaway Counties will begin their free H1N1 vaccinations.
The Ross County Health District is beginning their free school-based H1N1 vaccination clinics this week.
These will be for children six months through 18 years of age and parents who have infants younger than six months of age. They will be held at the following locations for citizens who live in those school districts:
Monday Nov. 9 - Paint Valley High School Gymnasium, 5-8pm.
Tuesday Nov. 10 - Adena High School Cafetorium, 5-8pm.
Wednesday Nov. 11 - Ross County Service Center (for children in the Chillicothe City School District), 10am-5pm.
Residents of Buckskin Township who meet the criteria can attend the clinic at either Paint Valley or Adena.
The clinics will continue while supplies of the vaccine last. In the coming days additional clinics will be scheduled for the county’s other school districts as additional shipments are received. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The Pickaway County General Health District will also be holidng the following free H1N1 flu clinics this week.
Tuesday, November 10, 9am-12 noon for Health Care workers and law enforecement (Sheriff's Dept., police, fire, EMT-Basic and Intermediate) *Credentials are required for this clinic.

1pm-4pm for Pregnant Women and caregivers and household contacts of children less than six months of age. Must bring proof of pregnancy
Thursday, November 12, 2009
9am-noon and 1pm- 4pm
For children ages 6 months through 4 years
Friday, November 13, 2009
9am to 1pm for the medically fragile who are ages 6 months to 64 years* You must bring list of medications.
Vaccine availability cannot be guaranteed. All H1N1 Clinics will be held at the Pickaway County General Health District and are free of charge.
